Chocolate Covered Salted Caramel OREO Cookie Balls

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
- 36 <a href=" https://www.snackworks.com/brands/oreo/">OREO Cookies</a> , finely crushed
- 48 chewy caramels in milk chocolate (about 1 [10.6-oz.] pkg.)
- 4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. coarse sea salt
Putting it together
PREPARATION
Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.- Shape into 48 (1-1/4-inch) balls; press to flatten.
- Top each with 1 caramel; wrap cream cheese mixture around caramel to completely enclose caramel. Re-roll into balls.
- Place on parchment-covered rimmed baking sheet. Freeze 10 min. Meanwhile, melt baking chocolate as directed on package.
- Dip cookie balls in melted chocolate; return to baking sheet. Let stand 1 min.; sprinkle with salt.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Keep refrigerated.
Tips and Tricks
Special Extra:Add multi-colored sprinkles to cookie balls immediately after sprinkling with the salt. Refrigerate as directed.
How to Easily Dip Balls:To easily coat balls with the melted chocolate, add balls, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Use 2 forks to roll balls in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove balls with forks, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Place balls in prepared pan. Continue as directed.
