Makes2 servings

Ingredients

  • 10 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, broken crosswise in half (20 squares), divided
  • 14 Mini OREO Cookies , divided
  • 1½ cups ready-to-spread white frosting, divided
  • 24 SWEDISH FISH Mini Candies
  • Assorted small candies and sprinkles

Putting it together

  1. 1.

Reserve 4 graham squares to use for making the trees. (See tip.) Cut 2 of the remaining graham squares diagonally in half to make 4 triangles for supporting the roofs. Reserve 2 of the whole mini cookies for making the chimney on top of one of the houses. Split the remaining mini cookies in half.

  2. 2.

Spoon some of the frosting into a pastry bag fitted with a round tip. Place 1 of the graham squares on parchment-covered baking sheet or tray for the base of the first house. Use frosting to stand 4 of the remaining graham squares next to each side of the base for the walls of the house, piping the frosting along the edges of the graham squares to secure. Use more frosting to attach 1 triangle-shaped graham to the top of each of 2 opposite walls; top with 2 of the remaining graham squares for the roof, securing all pieces with some of the remaining frosting. Repeat to make a second house. Let stand 1 hour or until frosting is firm.

  3. 3.

Use some of the remaining frosting to attach the remaining mini cookies halves, in slightly overlapping horizontal rows, on the roof of one of the houses for the shingles. Then, use some of the remaining frosting to attach the fish candies to the roof of the second house. Attach the 2 reserved mini cookies to the fish candy-topped house for the chimney. If desired, swirl some of the remaining frosting onto top of chimney to resemble smoke coming out of the chimney.

  4. 4.

Decorate both houses with assorted small candies, sprinkles and remaining frosting as desired. Let stand 1 hour or overnight until the frosting is firm.

Tips and Tricks

How to Make the Graham Trees:

For each tree, trim 2 opposite sides from 1 of the reserved graham squares to form a tall triangular evergreen tree shape. Use some of the frosting to attach 1 of the small trimmed graham pieces to back of the tall triangular piece to support the tree so it can stand up. Repeat with the remaining reserved graham squares to make 3 additional trees. Decorate trees with assorted small candies, sprinkles and frosting as desired.

Decorating Tips:

Spread additional frosting onto the baking sheet near the front of one of the houses. Press additional SWEDISH FISH Mini Candies into the frosting to resemble a cobblestone path. Use additional halved Mini OREO Cookies to make a path in front of the other house. If desired, use powdered sugar and miniature marshmallows to create a snowy landscape. Add the Graham Trees and a few SOUR PATCH KIDS Candy to complete your winter scene.

Note:

For best results, trim the edges of the graham squares as needed to make equal squares so that all the house pieces fit together perfectly. This will also help when cutting the squares into equal-sized triangles for making the roof.
