Ingredients

  • 1⅓ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (8 oz.), melted
  • 12 OREO Cookies
  • Decorations: multi-colored sprinkles, nonpareils, colored sugar, decorating icings or gels

Putting it together

  1. 1.
    Dip 1 end of wooden pop stick into chocolate; insert into filling in center of each cookie. Place on parchment-covered baking sheet. Freeze 10 min.
  2. 2.
    Dip cookies, 1 at a time, in chocolate, turning to evenly coat all sides of each cookie. Return to baking sheet.
  3. 3.
    Decorate as desired.
  4. 4.
    Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.

Tips and Tricks

Size Wise:Take the time to savor the flavor of these decorative cookie pops that can be included in a balanced diet on occasion.
Substitute:Prepare using melted white chocolate chips. Or, use 8 oz. melted white or semi-sweet candy coating wafers.
Note:If melted chocolate becomes too thick to evenly coat the cookies, add up to 2 tsp. shortening to the warm melted chocolate before using as directed.  Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days before serving.
