RITZ Bits and Mini OREO Smash-Up Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups RITZ Bits Peanut Butter
  • 2 cups Mini OREO Cookies
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups air-popped popcorn

Putting it together

  1. 1.
    Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray.
  2. 2.
    Combine RITZ Bits and cookies.
  3. 3.
    Microwave butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 45 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; stir to evenly coat marshmallows with butter.  Microwave 1 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring every 30 sec.
  4. 4.
    Reserve 1/2 cup RITZ Bits mixture for later use.  Add remaining RITZ Bits mixture to melted marshmallow mixture along with the popcorn; mix well. 
  5. 5.
    Press popcorn mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle with reserved RITZ Bits mixture; press gently into popcorn mixture to secure. Cool completely.
  6. 6.
    Use foil handles to remove popcorn mixture from pan before cutting into bars.

Tips and Tricks

Substitute:Prepare using Mini Golden OREO Cookies.
Special Extra:Prepare recipe as directed.  Immediately top with 2 Tbsp. sprinkles; press gently into popcorn mixture to secure.  Use sprinkles that are themed for your specific celebration, such as red and green for Christmas; pastel for Easter; red, white and blue for Independence Day; or the colors of your favorite sports team for any sporting events.
How to Store:Store bars in airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week before serving.
